More records for Player

Palmer_Player.jpgGary Player is set for his 50th Masters this year, according to Reuters UK. As one of five men to win a career Grand Slam of all four majors including three Masters and three British Open crowns, Gary will tie famed rival Arnold Palmer this week for most official trips to Augusta National. He's not finished yet though. At the ripe young age of 71, he has set his sites on playing the most Masters and British Opens. He credits his longevity to his fitness, diet  and athleticism regimen. Player works out 90 minutes at a crack, five days a week, and believes conditioning might make the difference when deciding who is the best for all time. "I go into the gym and I do 1,000 crunches and I put an 80-pound weight (on my chest) and I do some with an 80-pound weight," Player said, slapping his flat stomach to punctuate the point. Jees Gary, no wonder they call you the Black Knight. I'll bet you also own a car named Kit.

Player is amazing. The guy was way ahead of his time in terms of fitness. And he could play some, too. :)
