Drooling over Disney World golf

MagnoliaCourse.jpgI'm enjoying a well deserved family vacation at Disney World this week. And although I've never been here before it's easy to see that there's nobody better at the amusement park business. I think the phrase "the difference can be found in the details" was probably coined here by Walter and his army of fantasy architects.

I got a brief glimpse of Disney golf from the window of the speeding monorail today. And when I leaked an audible gasp, I inadvertently caught the attention of a fellow golfer/dad who just happened to do a golf trip here last year. I asked what he thought and like any true golf sportsman, he blathered on for several minutes about how much fun he and his cronies had doing the full Disney Golf package.

I must admit I was left with an empty, golfless kind of feeling. With snow on the ground in my hometown and all this delicious Florida sunshine, I'm definitely in the mood for golf.
