Meet Noisemaker

Greetings all! My name is Tom Croghan, otherwise known as noisemaker.

I’m a fifty-something golfer with a beautiful wife and two young children.

There was a time in an earlier life when golf was my passion. I was a full-on, due-paying member of an exclusive private local country club. I played regularly with a good sized crew of friends and business associates. I have never been a particularly good golfer but I managed an eighty-something handicap and played a couple of rounds per week during the season for four or five years.

Then came the twins and my life shifted to all things children. A few years into parenthood I dropped my club membership. I just wasn’t playing enough to make my membership worthwhile. But I missed the game and although I maintained a good group of golf cronies who played the public links on weekends, I somehow needed more.

I wanted to learn more about golf, talk more about golf and hang with others who care about golf. So in 2006 Golfnoise.com was born.

I had no clue about blogging so I closed my eyes and dove in, like many other bloggers I've had the pleasure of meeting along the way. I enjoy the catharsis that regular blogging provides. And it's become a regular part of my daily ritual.
